Catherine Frost

Catherine is a Senior Associate (Chartered Legal Executive) in our Court of Protection Team. Catherine completed her qualifications with the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in January 2012, and she joined Birketts in March 2020.
Catherine acts as professional deputy and attorney for individuals who have lost the mental capacity to make financial decisions themselves or where an individual retains capacity, she supports them to make their own decisions.
She regularly advises on various Court of Protection applications to include but not limited to: applications for the appointment of deputies, execution of statutory Wills, authorisation of gifts. Catherine also represents clients in contested Court of Protection proceedings.
Catherine provides straightforward, practical advice and she handles each situation with a high level of care and sensitivity. She seeks to find solutions to what can seem like daunting issues, especially where family dynamics are complicated. Catherine is based in our Ipswich office
Catherine lives in Suffolk and prior to joining Birketts, she worked for two large local firms. Catherine is proficient in giving presentations to clients and connectors.
Outside work, Catherine is involved in many sporting activities to include playing netball in the South Suffolk Netball League and road races at local level. She enjoys travel and interior design.
