Jennie Kingham

Jennie joined Birketts in March 2020 as a Senior Associate in our Court of Protection Team, part of our Private Client Division.
Jennie has over 25 years’ experience specialising in private client work. Her particular area of expertise is dealing with Court of Protection work, acting as a professional Deputy and Attorney in looking after the property and financial affairs of individuals who lack mental capacity. Jennie deals with a wide variety of applications to the Court of Protection, including in relation to statutory wills and for the appointment of replacement trustees. Jennie also advises clients in contested matters such as Attorney disputes, and represents clients in contested Court of Protection proceedings.
Jennie moved to Ipswich in 1996 after leaving University. Prior to joining Birketts, she worked for two large local firms, completing her qualification as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2003, and has built her reputation in Suffolk with clients and connectors alike. Jennie is experienced in public speaking, regularly giving presentations to other professionals.
Jennie is based in our Ipswich office.

Outside work, Jennie is the secretary of a local Scout group and is a busy mum of two boys. She enjoys theatre, reading and interior design.
