Kathryn Knight

Kathryn qualified as a Solicitor in March 2024 after completing her Training Contract with Birketts. She works with our Shipping and International Team and Reinsurance Team. Kathryn advises on a broad range of contentious matters and international trade disputes, including charterparty disputes, cargo claims and marine insurance claims both in the High Court and in arbitration proceedings. Kathryn also assists on (re)insurance disputes across various non-marine business, including high-value treaty reinsurance claims arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Before joining Birketts, Kathryn worked as a Paralegal. Kathryn graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2019 with a degree in law, and from Maastricht University in 2020 with a Masters in Law (cum laude); she completed her Legal Practice Course with the University of Law in 2021, achieving a Distinction.
Kathryn is based in our London office.
