Mark Gipson

Mark joined Birketts in 1995 and became a partner in 2007. He heads the Commercial and Technology Team in Birketts’ Ipswich and Chelmsford offices.
Mark is a commercial lawyer with wide ranging expertise in complex commercial contract drafting and negotiation including energy supply contracts, IT and computer contracts, agency and distribution agreements. He also specialises in data protection law.
Mark is based at our Ipswich office. He is a graduate of Oxford University and qualified as a Solicitor in September 1997.
Mark graduated from Oxford University and qualified in September 1997 after training with Birketts.
He is a director of Foundation East, a non-profit organisation operating across the East of England, which lends money to businesses and individuals for community benefit.
Mark is recommended by Legal 500 [UK 2021]. In previous editions he is described as “easy to work with”, “very cordial and professional”, offering “down-to-earth advice”. In the same publication, the firm’s intensified focus on the technology sector is recognised and Mark is described by clients as “very good all round” in this particular practice area.
